Hydro Jetting Services in Nashville, TN
A drain snake punches a hole through a clog. Hydro jetting obliterates it, cleaning the entire pipe wall while it’s at it.

Jetting or a Cable?
A cable machine punches a hole through a blockage. That is often all a drain needs, and it is the cheaper visit. Jetting is different: water at pressure scours the full diameter of the pipe, so the line comes back to something close to its original bore rather than just flowing again.
The rule of thumb is what the pipe is lined with. If the problem is a plug, a cable clears it. If the walls are coated, with grease in a kitchen line or scale in old cast iron, a cable bores through the middle and leaves the coating behind, and you are back in a few months. That is the point to jet it. We wrote up drain cleaning versus hydro jetting if you want the longer version.
Grease Lines and Restaurants
Commercial kitchens are the clearest case for jetting. Grease goes down warm and sets on the pipe wall, and no amount of cabling takes it off. A line on a jetting schedule stays open; a line that only gets attention when it backs up closes the kitchen at the worst possible moment. We work around service hours rather than through them.
Roots, and Looking First
Jetting cuts roots out of a line, but roots got in through a joint, and that joint is still there. We would rather put a camera down afterwards and show you where they are entering, so you can decide whether to jet it again next year or fix the section properly.
Jetting is also not right for every pipe. A line that is already cracked, or old clay that has lost its structure, does not want that pressure in it. Looking first is how we avoid turning a blocked drain into a dug-up yard.

Common Questions
When is jetting worth it over cabling?
Cabling punches a hole through a blockage. Jetting scours the pipe wall back to full diameter. For grease, scale, or repeat clogs in the same line, jetting is what actually solves it. For a single simple obstruction, cabling is usually enough.
What affects the cost of hydro jetting?
Line length and diameter, how much access we have, and what is in the pipe. A commercial grease line that has never been jetted takes longer than a residential line on maintenance. We look first and price the actual job.
Can jetting damage my pipes?
Not sound pipe. It can expose an existing problem, which is why we camera the line first on older systems. If a line is already cracked or badly deteriorated, we will tell you before jetting rather than after.
